I need your help urgently…i am getting error in Relay log file:

Try to run the besadmin tool on the rootserver.

Were you led to the gather logs while troubleshooting a specific issue? Is there an issue you are trying to address, or mostly concerned about what these errors refer to in the gather logs?

Where are you seeing these errors in your environment? Is it on more than one device?

Hi,

We found this issue when we get most of the action in pending download status which have been deployed 3 days back for 9 mb patch.

This is on most of the child relays and parent relays

On client error is:

Download available: false

Rather than looking at the gather logs for the given issue, I’d suggest validating that the file in question has been cached on the Root Server (in the Downloads section of the Summary tab of the action, does it show that the file is cached on server?), then check the download status report of the Relays in the chain (accessible via the /rd page - http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS63NW_9.2.0/com.ibm.tivoli.tem.doc_9.2/Platform/Adm/c_relay_diagnostics.html).

File is available on bigfix server and its not getting cached on 90% systems in our environment…

Ok, now we’re narrowing down the issue. What does the download status report show then on the Relays where the file is not getting cached for the associated action ID?

It is showing error like:

Download available: false

Along with the action ID.

I don’t remember the exact error as I am not in office now.

@ashutosh0001 The messages in the relay logs probably would not involve problems with downloading of files. These messages indicate a couple of things.

First, messages like this:

Indicate that the relay contains old site information that the parent relay or server no longer has (i.e. a deleted opsite or custom site). It is quite annoying. The relays do not sync with what the server currently have. The operation in the following article would need to be performed to clear these out.

Please note that these messages/errors in relay log are not associated with your file download issue. If that is what you are attempting to troubleshoot, please provide more information about what specific error you are seeing in the Download Status Report (accessible via the Relay Diagnostics page) for the given file/action ID.

As @Aram mentioned, these errors indicate a problem with the gather operations on a relay, not the download operations.

With that being said, you can also attempt a full uninstall/re-install of the client and relay components.

i got the issue, one of the parent relay was reporting to itself due to which action status was showing pending download only…i corrected that and replaced the client actionsite.afmx with root server actionsite.afmx and “Class NotSignedMessage” problem also got resolved…
