Need Help with a Custom Patch Report "Viewing Device Compliance"

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

How to Generate Monthly Microsoft security Patch Compliance Report

I need help creating a custom report that will give detailed

information on “Device Patch Compliance”

For example, we have roughly 15K devices in our environment

and need to report them as

::::Servers:::

Compliant = Fully Patched

Not compliant = Missing Patches

Reboot Pending

:::Workstations:::

Compliant = Fully Patched

Not compliant = Missing Patches

Reboot Pending

:::Laptops:::

Compliant = Fully Patched

Not compliant = Missing Patches

Reboot Pending

How can I go about gathering this information using Big Fix Web Reports? Help!!

This is information that my organization needs to view on a Monthly basis - beginning of each month.

Thank you!

Hi TMateo311,

Maybe you can provide us with more info so that we can try to help.

  • Is the format you described above 3 sections summarizing server/workstation/laptops?
  • It is not clear to me the format of the report.
  • Any definition on fully patched will be useful. For example, is a computer with one patch outstanding considered Not Compliant? What about if the patch is Medium or Low priority?

Have you looked at other reports already on the forum?

I required exactly same report for me but my requirements are less. i only require the report for desktops
any format as long as its showing the % in total .
This is only for Critical and important patches in Patch Release site.
any computer with more than 1 patch can be conciderd.
let me know what more information you need. i have tried downloading two different reports and run them but they dont provide this simple information.

@javed.tariq, have you seen this report?
If you add the appropriate filters - Device Type = Desktop, and also the patch sites, you should get the info needed.
