Hardware Inventory Scanner not supported for MAC OS any longer?

We are trying to get detailed hardware data for MAC OS devices, I can see the old version of the scanner is relevant for most of our MAC machines but it failed due to Bad CPU type in executable error. I found details about this error here.

The latest version(Install or Upgrade Scanner (10.0.5.0)) doesn’t have relevance for MAC, so it seems like at some point MAC OS was left out of support?

The need for having this data is that we need to have these devices into the new ServiceNow Integration and they are being filtered out automatically due to the missing hardware data.

There is no change introduced in v10.0.5.0 regarding detailed hardware data functionality. The supported platforms for this functionality are the same since BigFix Inventory v9.2.12 and this is Windows and Linux. Regardless supported platforms there is no scanner component for MAC 64-bit that is the reason fixlet is not relevant.
Here is link to documentation with details regarding supported systems https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/inventory/Inventory/planinconf/c_detailed_hw_scan.html.

To extend a bit above Apple has dropped support for 32-bit application, which Scanner was. Thus upgrade of Mac OS will cause existing scanner deployment to stop working. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436

I’ve crafted analysis to get some key system information either from BFI Capacity Scan or using BigFix Inspectors: https://bigfix.me/analysis/details/2998643

Individual properties on any analysis can be imported to BFI (Management -> Computer Properties) and are available via API as https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/inventory/Inventory/integration/r_api_association_computer_details.html#reference_mjq_jcg_vz
