Can't install Web Reports after TEM is installed

(imported topic written by woodb0ss)

I’ve got a scenario where I want to run Web Reports from a standalone server. I’ve got TEM installed and running (without web reports installed) on a physical server, and would like to run web reports on a VM. The VM is unable to process the web reports url for the primary TEM server; I’m guessing it’s because there is no web reports service running at all on the primary server. I wanted to go back and add web reports to my primary TEM server, but am unable to find a way to do so. I can’t modify or change the TEM installation…the installer just asks me if I really want to uninstall TEM. Do I need web reports installed/running on the primary server in order to access it remotely? It wouldn’t appear so, based on other threads I’ve seen.

Ideas?

This might help.

Thanks…already looked at that thread (and Ben’s article). Unfortunately, they don’t discuss the problem I have (adding web reports to a TEM server installation after TEM is installed…it appears to be impossible).

So, just to confirm, the BES Web Reports Server service is not on your server?

Confirmed…my server does NOT have the Web Reports service running or installed.
