I am pleased to announce the first regular update to the C3 set of projects. Updates will occur on a weekly/biweekly basis. This is not IBM provided or supported content.
Overview
This release introduces expanded application patching support in C3 Patch as well as a number of new analyses in the C3 Inventory site covering Hyper-V, VPN, Printers on Mac, Services on Windows and some other inventory-type analyses. Finally, this release adds some new test content to the Power Management site.

Analyses
The following Analyses are now available:
- “Apple Update - Mac” - Provides information on the last Apple Software Update run
- “Hyper-V Guest - Windows” - Provides Guest ID, Guest Display Name, and Physical Host information on Windows Hyper-V Guests (the virtual machines on a hyper-v server)
- “Hyper-V Host - Windows” - Provides a list of the virtual machines, their current state (Running, Stopped, Saved), their replication state (No Replication, Healthy, Warning, Critical), and their current uptime
- “Launch Daemons - Mac” - Provides information on the Launch Agents and Launch Daemons enabled on a system. Specifically provides the name of the Daemon or Agent, it’s enabled or disabled state, and the program and arguments that the Launch Daemon runs
- “Location - Mac” - Provides latitude and longitudinal information of a Mac OS system with Location Services enabled
- “Printers - Mac” - Provides information on locally mapped TCP/IP printers, Bonjour printers, Samba printers including their name and connection string, installed printer drivers.
- “Services - Windows” - Provides a list of all services, what user account they are configured to logon as. Provides a list of all services running as a domain account, and provides a list of all services running as a local (non-builtin) account.
- “Time Machine - Mac” - Provides a small set of properties related to the time machine configuration of the device
- “VPN - Mac” - Provides the current configuration of any VPN profiles on the Mac covering PPTP, IPSec, and L2TP connections and what VPN concentrator they are pointing to
The following Analyses have additional properties:
- “Applications - Windows” - Now provides a property for viewing startup items on Windows
- “Group Policy - Windows” - Now provides a property that outlines what local group policies may be applying to the machine
Fixlets
The following Fixlets are now available:
- “Invoke - Kernel Kext Cache Reset - Mac” - Resets the Kernel Kext Cache which can be useful during troubleshooting a slow boot issue on a mac.
