can bigfix wol working accross subnets ?

Yes, you can choose another PC on the same subnet to send a WOL. The new 7.1 version is supposed to have some functionality to let you designate “wake-on-lan forwarders” which will send the WOL packet to the PC.

Yes. dgibson is correct. As long as there is another BigFix Agent in the same subnet, you can use the agent as a wake-on-lan forwarder to send wake-on-lan packets to any computer.

Does it come canned with BF 7.1 or is it another module? This WOL feature I mean.

Wake-on-LAN comes as part of the BigFix Power Management solution. If you add this Fixlet site, you will see a “Power Information” dashboard and the dashboard will have an option to enable wake-on-LAN.
