I am sending a simple shortcut (.lnk file) to machines. On all Windows 7 machines the icon image shows correctly but Windows 8 machines it just appear like a document image with the upper left corner folder over. Is there anything special needed for Windows 8 distributions? It couldn’t be more simple than an xcopy.
xcopy CDM.lnk “C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Business Applications\Service” /q /y
