Windows XP Embedded and BIigfix

Hello, I’ve read a few posts that say that XPe will work with bigfix. As in will install.

Does it work with the overlay? (ie the thing that stops files being written to flash memory)

Ie, does bigfix turn off the overlay, apply the updates, then turn the overlay back on?

Hi tubs,

I don’t believe that we have any specific “overlay” support. But I bet you can make some simple custom Fixlets to control this.

Sorry, by overlay I meant the MS Enhanced Write Filter, so out of the box bigfix does not support this.

FYI, XPe and WePOS are now supported operating systems; see the announcement here: http://bigmail.bigfix.com/pipermail/besadmin-announcements/2010-April/000666.html

We do not support EWF at this time.
