When I trying to login the Bigfix console with the option use Windows session credentials. I get the login error. It mentioned "Failed to connect to https://xxxxxx.com:52311. Windows Error 0x80090303: The specified target is unknown or unreachable
if you are trying to open console from any of the machine except root server, try to ping & telnet the server with port 52311 if its not passing through you need to check the network part or may be firewall & if its working properly then what is the ldap settings you have implemented in BIGFIX console to user name or mail ID try with that.
but as error shows itself it seems to be a connectivity issue.
Is everyone having this same issue or is it just you?
If everyone is getting the same error, logon to the console from the BigFix server using a bigfix local account as opposed to a domain account. Under all content > LDAP Directories select your LDAP server and see if Global Catalog is yes or no.
We had a similar issue that was related to the Global Catalog option, which changes the port that BigFix uses to try and hit a domain controller to authenticate the credentials with.
what is Global catalogue will do exactly ?
