Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2012 Support

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

Hi,

Does TEM get officially supported on the Windows 2012 Server platform and the SQL 2012 platforms ?

What about different editions of the server and SQL databases ?

Also, are combinations like Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter edition with SQL Server 2012 ?

regards

Ravi

As of version 8.2.1310, the TEM agent is officially supported on Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 operating systems.

Currently supported configurations for the TEM Server are listed here:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505691

Iā€™m preparing the to implement a small Air-Gapped Bigfix server to run an OSD implementation.

Looking at the Documentation at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505691 it seems that Server 2012 and SQL 2012 are not yet supported for hosting the Bigfix server. Is this still the case or is there a lag in updating the Document?

Should I plan on sticking with Server 2008R2 and SQL 2008R2?

The link you reference above has itself the new links that should be leveraged for supported platforms. For instance, for v9.2:

http://www-969.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=CFE47F60633211E3A11D923472D26C14&duComponentIds=Server_CFED31F1633211E3A11D923472D26C14

But in short, Windows Server 2012 (including R2) and SQL 2012 (or SQL 2014), are supported with v9.2.3.
