Windows Security Updates not showing relevant

(imported topic written by IsaiahSchisler)

I just installed a fresh windows 7 x64 and installed IEM client, I have 109 security updates on the machine in windows updates, however, no windows updates are showing relevant in IEM console. Attached are the screenshots of both local machine and IEM console. It’s happening on most windows machines I’ve checked too.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks,

Isaiah

I am seeing the exact same behavior here too. I upgraded to 9.1.1117.0 and after that the 2 newest agents aren’t showing any patches as relevant. Did you get this resolved?

Hey Eric,

No I didn’t. But I did notice that I assigned all the windows patches “Site” to our global license Role and that Role is assigned to all Operators, however, the Computers that those Operators administer aren’t inheriting those permissions, at least it seems that way.

Submitted a ticket with IBM support, will let you know if we get it fixed over here on our end.

I solved my problem. I had to change the relevance on the site, save it and change it back and save it. For some reason after upgrading to 9.1.1117.0 some of my external sites weren’t working with new clients. Sounds strange but that is what support had me do.

Thanks Eric!!! It took a while to work, but this morning the windows updates are again showing after I changed the relevance in the site and changed it back.

Did you have to do it for the rest of the sites as well?

I only did it for the sites that weren’t showing up on my new clients. I’m glad it worked for you. Simple fixes are always the best fixes.
