Windows patch baseline relevance

(imported topic written by jdaly)

Hello all I am pretty new to BigFix so forgive me if this is a simple question or if there is somewhere else I should be posting this.

We recently got bigfix up and running and I am now looking at pushing out some patches for windows systems. I have gone through and created a baseline with the updates I would like to apply to client machines. Currently the baseline relevance is just set to TRUE so this means it shows all clients that we currenly have in bigfix as applicable.

What I would like to do if possible would be to change the relevance so that the baseline is relevant only if any of the patches contained within the baseline are relevant on a machine. Im thinking this way would make it easier to see which machines have been patched and which machines still need to be patched.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I believe that the default behavior should be that a baseline is relevant to a machine if any of the components is relevant to a machine. If the baseline is run on a machine, then only the components that are relevant will run on that machine.

As far as I know the default behavior is what you desire.
