Any news on when BigFix will have fixlets for Windows 7?
I realize that Windows 7 is still in “release candidate” mode, but it sure would be nice to test BigFix deployment on it.

Hey Patrick,
We can’t officially declare support until Microsoft fully releases, but all of our testing shows that the current BigFix Agent should work fine with Windows 7. You should probably use the latest agent (7.2.4.60+) for best results.

We have been running the BES agent on several 7 workstations/laptops for a while now - with no issues. Only ugly part is that it shows in the console as Unknown 6.1.7100 as the OS. Interesting though - if you run the BES Client UI - it properly shows that it is Windows 7 on the local agent.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike… Note that the 7.2.4.60 version fixes the “Unknown” OS property for Win7.
