Windows 2012 EOS

We have some servers with the Windows 2012 OS. There is an announcement from Microsoft that the EOS date of Windows 2012 R2 is on October 2023.
Now we want to confirm if we can keep using BigFix 9.5.18 on this Windows 2012?

Will this still supported on Bigfix even after the EOS date of the Windows 2012?

Depends what you mean “using”? Agent will continue to work with the OS, ending of support has no bearing.

That said, I would expect HCL will stop delivering 2012 patches during normal release cycles and there will need to be purchased separate ESU Patching Add-on module for the OS (same exact way it has been for 2008). ESU is also assuming that you will have a contract with MS for Extended Support from them (there is some per-OS licensing that needs to be enabled otherwise even you have the patching fixlets you can’t patch the devices - again, same exact thing was with 2008 over the last few years).

What Angel says is correct.
We just announced BigFix 9.5 EoS effective June 30th, 2023.
At the same time, BigFix commits to continue supporting the agent on those OSs that still receive ESU updates from Microsoft (like Win Server 2012) until 6 months at least after the vendor stops the ESU support.
