Windows 10 clients not reflecting in Bigfix

We have rolled out few windows 10 workstations, There are issues related to Win10 and Bigfix.

  1. Not reflecting in Bigfix
  2. Desktop Patches from Bigfix. Currently patch sizes are very huge and are using internet to download patches. I am looking for a recommendation for long term solution.[Less]
  1. What do the logs on the systems not reporting tell you?

  2. Welcome to patching Microsoft Windows endpoints. The cumulative updates are large, there isn’t really a good way around that other than to make sure your relay infrastructure is sound with at least one relay per logical site/physical WAN connection. This will help ensure clients using a local network relay will not download across the WAN/internet.

Thanks for your response,

Please share the location of the logs which can be reviewed for the systems not reflecting.
We also have issues with bigfix report showing "non Compliant to “Anonymous Access to Network Share and Account Password Policy Enforced on Local Account” though we have made sure that win 10 policy are correct with respect to above points. Will you be able to provide me analysis which can be written to check both the above points.

  1. Anonymous Access to Network Share and
  2. Account Password Policy Enforced on Local Account

If you’re a BigFix admin, you should really know where the client logs are. If you don’t know where the client logs are, you need to educate yourself on the product you are using to administrate and patch your environment.

If this comes across as blunt, well, it is… Keep in mind that we are all volunteers who try to help out others who use the same product we do, but we are not employees of IBM and if you don’t have even a basic understanding of the product you are going to be struggling for sure…

I can find out about the location of client logs for sure. You are right that I am new to bigfix tool. Though I have understanding about the working and architecture of the tool… I am trying to resolve and get guidance on few issues which are being faced by my team.

If you are running BigFix Compliance, I recommend you check out the Configuration Management User’s Guide

For the specific issues you mention: do you have WebUI installed? You can use the Query application to have the clients in question (target systems) run the relevance tests from the specific fixlets or tasks that flag these systems as non-compliant.
