We’ve been looking into deploying wifi profiles to our different customers, but it seems there might be some issues concerning password-security. We created profiles using “iOS Profile Configuration” and “Android WiFi Profiles”, but the iOS profile saves the password in cleartext and the Android profile saves the password encrypted. So if we want to create dynamic profiles using parameters we need to encrypt the passwords somehow before we insert them into the Android profile; and with iOS we need to figure out if it’s safe at all to store passwords like that.
So my question(s) is: Is there a way to encrypt the Android password before we insert them into a fixlet and is it possible to encrypt iOS profile passwords at all?
