What is RVU and PVU? How do I use them in SUA?

Hi All,

Can anyone explain me what is PVU and RVU in SUA and how exactly to use this two value in SUA.

The short answer: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They are 2 different was to calculate license usage of IBM software for servers. One is better in terms of pricing if your licensed software is running on VMs, while the other is better if primarily run on physical hardware.

I don’t know much beyond that, and I find it confusing. In my experience most people from IBM don’t understand it either.

But seriously…I’m confused too :confused: and don’t know really how to work with PVU and RVU value in SUA…
