webUI slow to start

I’m testing v10 WebUI on Win2019 with a local MSSQL and I noticed after I start the BES WebUI service, it can take 30+ minutes before node.exe starts running to make the HTTP interface available.
Is that normal?

Just a heads up. This issue has been resolved in WebUI 10.0.4

Yup, that was my note I just added to https://bigfix-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/BFP-I-123 :slight_smile:

However, where is the note from HCL saying this was included in 10.0.4?

I ran across this while still on 10.0.2. Upgraded to 10.0.4 and the issue was resolved.

However, I think it was addressed in the 10.0.3 update: https://support.bigfix.com/bes/changes/fullchangelist-100.txt (Issue BFP-19025 - DA KB0085253)

noap, its still unresolved !!! we have infra of 200K endpoints & WebUI taking up to 30 min from initialization to actual login page.

it might be not visible in smaller infra but WebUI does take lots of time, dont go with below statement its just mean WebUI is up & started initialization process, also below statement doesn’t guarantee that you will be seeing WebUI login page.

Actually I think the slow startup was resolved in 10.0.3 so if you’re seeing a 30-minute startup there may be an issue in your environment.
Check the service-wrapper.log to be sure your WebUI actually upgraded.

We are already on with HCL Dev team against case ID # CS0256781 HCL is trying different store procedure but 20-30 min delay always there
