Webreports slow

Since we setup Wepreports a few years back it has always been painfully slow to open the “Reports” tab, takes about 18s to display the reports available and if you change the view or sort by date it will take another 18.

Working with reports is fine and updating the reports is fine, logging in is fine.

How long does it take you to look upp reports?
Any ideas if we can do anything to get that time down?

It shouldn’t be taking this much !

Questions:
From where are you accessing the webreports?
Webreports is installed on BigFix server or any different server?
Have tried accessing it from different locations & does it behave in the same way?
Have you tried, restarting Weberport service or server?
Are you seeing any error while logging in Webreport?

Try enabling webreport debug logging & see if there are any report which is taking time to load (I doubt that since you are freely accessing reports) or there are some errors.

Hi thanks you for helping.

  • We usually access the reports from admins workstation, but it’s still slow when
    accessing from the root server.
  • Yes we have tried from multible workstations and servers
  • Yes the issue has been ongoing for years, server and service restarted multible times
  • There are no error logging into the webreports
  • We just enabled logging, will review and come back

It’s also difficult to tell you how it “should” perform because you’ve not given details of the scaling.

How many endpoints in your deployment? What’s the sizing of the Web Reports server and SQL Server (type of processors, # cores, # processors, size of RAM) , and are they on the same host or separate machines?
