Web reports database upgrade

(imported topic written by Shlomi91)

hi,

i manually upgraded from BES 6.0.21 to BES 7.01 (i use a remote DB) and i cannot login to my web reports.

i am getting this message:

BESReporting database is too old to use with this version of WebReports. Please upgrade your BESReporting database or configure the LocalBESReportingServer DSN to a valid database.

any idea how i can upgrade the web reports database?

thanks,

Shlomi

you need to check with bigfix support.

Contacting support would be good, probably the LocalBESReportingServer DSN was reset to point to the local computer instead of the remote SQL database. LocalBESReportingServer should go to the BESReporting database as well.

Hi Tyler,

the LocalBESReportingServer DSN is pointing correctly.

i opened a ticket and will follow up with them, they think that the original database was not upgraded correctly…

thanks.

Shlomi,

Did you end up figuring out your problem with web reports. I am having the same issue.

Hi ggerling.

for BES DB i used "initializebesreportsdb.exe bes_EnterpriseServer ".

for the reporter i used "initializebesreportsdb.exe bes_EnterpriseServer "

for more information, go to

http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=215

and

http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=397

good luck…

I ran the “InitializeBESReportsDB.exe BESReporting LocalBESReportingServer …” command and now our Web Reports are blown out; I don’t see anything on our Web Reports. Any ideas?

Hi taltrade,

If you contact support they can help you… You might also check under “settings” to see if your database gathering has been disabled.
