VM Manager, when trying to stop service got an error

Hi all,

So today I noticed that all of our VM managers in BFI are showing status ‘Inactive’, tried to stop and run the VMMAN service again but got into this error when stopping it:

/var/opt/BESClient/LMT/VMMAN/vmman.sh -stop

CODSV0040E: Cannot connect to the service. Check whether the data collector is running in the run mode.

Do you have any thoughts what could be wrong and what can I check to resolve it?

Could it be that the VM Manager Tool is already in a stopped state? If you issue ps -ef | grep -i vmman, do you get any results back?

Seems like the VMMAN service was stuck, the restart of virtual machine helped. Thank you for the answer.
