Vendor of packages of rpm?

(imported topic written by cstoneba)

Does anyone know of a Linux(redhat) inspector to retrieve the vendor of an rpm? Looks like the data is available, but I just can’t find an inspector that pulls it.

Yeah, there is no inspector for that. FWIW, we track this internally as bug 48823.

thanks Noah. I’m assuming it’s not included in any future releases at this point?

Correct… it falls into that giant bucket of “this would be cool and useful” but that applies to hundreds of other inspectors we could build as well, so it is not high priority at the moment.

As a workaround, you could always do the “two step” and create a task that writes out the information and then read it in with an analysis.

true, i could do that, but that is probably my least favorite way of getting data into TEM. thanks though.

Ever any progress with internal bug 48823?
