Use of LDAPSearchMaxResults

Has anyone tried this setting? I am trying to get it to work, but no matter what I set it to, I never seem to be able to find my user id and the LDAP listing will only show 2000 results.

Any other methods that you may tried to work around this?

Thanks

At the time of this writing, the documentation is currently incorrect!

The configuration should be REG_SZ not DWORD. http://bugs.sfolab.ibm.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65531 is tracking this defect and the documentation should get updated soon.

Hi Daniel,

That is good to know.

I did just set it, but I see the in bes report log file the error “Socket Error: Windows Error 0x2746: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host”. I am thinking that there is a restriction on the amount of records I can query.

In the past, I used to be able to create a new user and specify that it was LDAP, but the new method, I cannot add the user unless I can find them in the search. I have tried setting the base DN in the IEM server to the lowest level I can (although I am not sure that impacts the web reports lookup) and still no difference.

Thanks

As a mitigation, is it possible to use a query that isolates the result to a smaller set?

I would suggest contacting support.
