Upload error

Hey,

I have this error in the client log of the server:

Starting upload of file ‘98e90c643f8800707104e49609a8ac9a33954617’ of size 7660409

Error uploading file ‘98e90c643f8800707104e49609a8ac9a33954617’, restarting in 30 seconds

It gives this error every 30 seconds.

Anyone ideas?

Clearly the error message in the agent log file just means the agent is not able to upload a file.

The main reason is at server, agent or relay level ( all relays in the chain between the agent and the server ) the default values for the following setting are not enough and need to be increased:

_BESClient_ArchiveManager_MaxArchiveSize
_BESRelay_UploadManager_BufferDirectoryMaxSize
_BESRelay_UploadManager_BufferDirectoryMaxCount
_BESRelay_UploadManager_CompressedFileMaxSize

In any case activating the tracing on each relay in the relay chain and on the server, would be possible look for the file hash and check where the upload is in stuck, possibly identify an error message explain why the file is not post forward and so does not reach the server
