Is it possible to upgrade an existing ILMT v9 installation to include Systems Lifecycle, OSD etc? The console in the current installation looks like the regular BigFix platform, but with only the “All Content” context, and no obvious License Management.
You should contact your salesperson who should be able to sell licenses to the other products. It can definitely be done.
ILMT is called IBM License Reporting (ILMT) in version 9.2.8. Do you not see that in your Console? If not, have you created your license authorization file?
Ahh didn’t realize that you didn’t mean other products. It should have activated the site. You might need to actually check if the License Dashboard shows the ILMT site in it? There are often EULA’s you have to agree too
Thanks, I’ve made contact. I am trying to understand if we can reuse the ILMT installation, masthead, BES Client etc, or if we should plan to migrate sideways. Capacity of what’s set up is sufficient for the 2-3000 endpoints.
The installation should be able to be upgraded. That was the intent if people wanted more functionality. It all depends on the size of a deployment as you keep adding components etc so at some point the root server capacity may need to be updated.
