BES at 9.5.9.
All BES Clients are Windows OS
Scenario: BES Client is in Office A - use Relay in Office A, BES Client is in Office B - use Relay in Office B, BES Client is not in any office - Use Relay C (which is the only Relay that can be accessed from the Internet). PING allowed to Relay A and Relay B but not to Relay C.
I don’t think plain old auto-select will work but i also don’t think relay affiliation will work either. Maybe some combination of both plus a relay failover list? I’m just having trouble getting to the correct combination of settings.
Thanks
I think plain-old auto relay select would work for clients in the offices, assuming their local relay has the lowest hop count.
You’d need to assign the FailoverRelay or FailoverRelayList to include your Internet relay. The FailoverRelay(List) will be used when no relay responds to ping, so you should be able to apply this setting to all of the clients.
Assuming each office is on different IP Subnets, you should consider using the following setting …
_BESClient_RelaySelect_Always_OnIPListChange
