Uninstall Apple QuickTime using BigFix content from bigfix.me

Trend Micro has reported security vulnerabilities associated with Apple QuickTime on Windows.

Apple is deprecating QuickTime and will no longer provide updates for these vulnerabilities.

QuickTime will still run on computers where they are installed. However, there might be risks of potential attacks against these reported vulnerabilities.

Trend Micro has posted a call to action to uninstall QuickTime. US-CERT also released an alert which states that “The only mitigation available is to uninstall QuickTime for Windows.“

You can use a BigFix task that uninstalls Apple QuickTime. This is accessible through https://bigfix.me/fixlet/details/12975.
