Unable to log into Big Fix Console

Hi, we have just completed our install for BigFix.

The server has been installed on a RHEL9 machine, with DB2. The clients have been installed on 3 systems (APIC). The console has been installed on a windows machine.

When we attempt to log into the console using BFAdmin, we are getting an error “Unable to login to server. Have you run BESAdmin to create the signing key on the server? Is the server able to connect to the database?

Any suggestions on what the issue can be please, or what should be checked please? We are new to Big Fix and the set up of it.

During installation, you should have set a BigFix administrator account (called Master Operator). Open the Console on Windows machine and login using it. BESAdmin is an administrative tool useable only from command line on Linux.

Thanks for the reply. The only account we setup on the server during installation was BFAdmin and the DB2 user accounts, no master operator account was set. Can this be set after?

BFAdmin is the master operator (MO).

Aren’t you able to login into the BigFix Console using this account? are all BigFix services up and running?

Ah, yes, that is the account we are using which is not working. We have checked and the Big Fix services and DB2 database is up and running on the server machine.

please open a case via the Support Portal. The install has not completed.
