i tried to download Linux+DB2 setup and getting error. can someone help on this?
I don’t know about the Director issue, but you could download from this location http://support.bigfix.com/bes/release/9.5/patch5/
Thanks for your help., but the link given is only for linux version tar file not having DB2 , i tried again from passport advantage and seems link is up now and i am able to copy it.
thanks
as “google” brought me here - thought a reply might be better than a new thread.
a) why is it so hard to find DB2_10.5.0.3_limited_Lnx_x86-64.tar.gz BECAUSE there are many references to that file in Knowledge Center Documentation (e.g., analytic’s). I found it once, months ago - so it could be done - but failed today.
b) (notes - links editted to not look like links - forbidden to have more than 2 links) to my surprise I found the same file - under a different name. I followed the “Download Evaluation” from http //support.bigfix.com/bes/install/downloadbes.html and http://support.bigfix.com/bes/install/beseval.html and was surprised to see it (still) named EndPoint Manager (at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/tiv/endpoint/). From this page I followed the “Download Now” button and choose the image with DB2 in it. After extracting the biggest thing I could find - I compared it (cmp) with the file I had downloaded another time. Low and behold - the same files.

Conclusion: no, imho, real need to make getting the limited DB2 so difficult.
We do not provide the DB2 outside of Passport Advantage as the entitlement I believe has to be there. The evaluation version available through Passport Advantage will have the DB2 embedded in it which was the issue the original poster had when the link didn’t work.
OK. Thanks for the clarification. Just seems that having two places to get something you are entitled to (as the regular BigFix will not install without a(n entitlement) license.
In closing - I am just surprised that the “Passport Advantage” version and the evaluation version differ only in filename.
