Troubleshooting Client Connectivity

I’m trying to troubleshoot why one of our clients is not connecting / reporting into the server.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the client without success. Some documentation still on IBM’s site says to check the log file in “C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client__BESData__Global\Logs”. The problem is there is no __BESData folder in the BES Client folder.

Any suggestions?

Never mind. Ends up the C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client folder wasn’t getting wiped on the client uninstall. An older copy of the masthead file was still in that folder so the new client install was using the wrong masthead.

Use BSE Removal tool to uninstall client completely. Then again install client and check the logs.
