We currently use Dameware which allows us to CAC (Common Access Card)(Smart Card) Authenticate to access a system. This is a requirement within DOD, is CAC authentication possible with Tivoli Remote Control?

Has anyone try to put TRC target in groups on TRC server when deploying over TEM or how is this done? I want to manage TRC also over web server so this would be usefull, otherwise I need to ask customer to tell me their username and password. Over web page this works fine, but I dont have mass deploy. I export and import fixlet, add first I nottice is applicable computers wich is less than original. I add parameters after .msi/QN like TRC_SERVER_HOSTNAME and others but didn’t work. Is this the right way, what format needs this properties look like?

Is there a way to easily customize the privacy screen feature so that we could put or company logo and the name of the IT department instead of just IBM Tivoli? I see that there is a file in the target folder called privacy.bmp which is the graphic for the screen, but it would be kind of a pain to have to change that on every machine. Plus, I don’t think the TRC target deployment package could be altered to include the custom file.

I have installed Both TEM 8.1 and TRC 5.1. Can any one done TEM integration with TRC ?.

I did not found to add any action site for TRC Masthead Files in TEM Console .

Can any one help on this.

Having problems with the command to “Inject Ctrl + Alt + Del” to Win7 machines to allow login. This had been reported before, yet i have not found the fix as the link from previous post doesn’t work.

Hi all,

i installed TEM Server, Console and clients.

I subscribed the TRC license, installed TRC controller (on the same machine of the console) and a TRC target (in peer to peer mode).

My problem is that on the console there is not displayed the item “Tivoli Remote Control” when i click with mouse right button on a computer with TEM client installed.

How can i resolve this situation?

Hi salvatoria,

Can you tell me the process how you subscribed TEM with TRC ?. Because i have done both TEM and TRC.But i did not found any extrenal masthead to subscribe with TEM. can help me on this ?.

I have done TRC integration with TSRM.

On more thing i want to ask you whether you can able to see TRC in software life cycle tab under Remote control configuration ?.

Valuable inputs are appreciable.

Is there a way to deploy the TRC Target from the Controller without a TRC Server? We are only using P2P and currently are in a beta testing phase that will only allow for one off installs of the target. I have attempted to remote install from the Controller, however recieve the following error “Remote Install has been disabled due to missing files”
