If the BES Clients are in restricted mode (which can occur on evaluation or production licenses if the seat count or the expiration date are overrun) the BES Clients will do the following:
Refuse to report true to any Fixlets.
Not respond to actions.
You database will continue to update the Fixlets in the database (which are the same for production and eval), but the agents won’t report them as true.
Now we have a project to collect data from several BES Server databases to a central database, all the BES Server which we want to collect data from it has a production license.
The central database runs on a stand alone server. In order to reduce the communication from the BES Server to the central database server, we want to install a evaluation BES Server on the center database server, so we can transfer data like:
FixletSite FixletID RelevantCount
Enterprise Security 1 530
Enterprise Security 2 425
…
When these data transfered to the central server, we can find in the bes server database what the fixlet is, and we can also find out it’s properties like “Source Severity”.
So I must confirm some problems like I asked above, thank you very much for your reply.
