Not that I’ve ever seen. You can access Web Reports, but not deploy actions.
Up until v8.2 all the signing actions were done on the Console computer. Now with the server handling the signing, maybe there could be a partial web console, but I think it would still be rough on the web server.
Yes. You could install the console without installing the client, but it means that the computer itself can’t be managed by TEM. The console would have to be manually upgraded when the server gets upgraded to a new version. I’ve had a few Console Operators do this by mistake.
One way to access the console from a browser would be via a Citrix server or some form of equivalent system.
I have created few operators for daily monitoring tasks. But my client wants to install TEM console in few machines for operating daily patches. Can you tell me how it is possible.
My issue is ,i will copy whole tem software to operator desktop but when i start installing tem it is checking database ,if database is not their it is installing the database before installing TEM installation guide .
I want only tem console to install operators desktop, is it possible ?.
This question is a bit beyond the scope of the TEM Labs forum.
Two ways to resolve this.
First, After the computer where you want to install the Console is managed by TEM (client installed), there is a task to deploy the Console. Use the Main TEM Console to deploy it.
The second method is a manual install.
First ensure that the TEM Client is installed on the machine you want to install the console on. This will be needed in the future when you upgrade the server, otherwise the consoles won’t get upgraded as part of the process.
Now, look on the Main TEM server. There should be folder called
C:\BESInstallers
. There should be a
Console
folder there with the latest Console installer.
Notice that in both scenarios, you need the Console computer to also have the Client installed. This is so that when the server is upgraded in the future, it will automatically push new versions of the console to these computers as part of the upgrade process.
