TEM 8.2 Eval - CentOS patching?

(imported topic written by dgowan777)

Dear dW,

I’ve been running an eval version of TEM 8.2 for about a week now. I’ve registered and migrated the CentOS download plug-in on the TEM server. However, I do not see any sites related to CentOS. Is this a restriction of the eval license? If not, how do I enable CentOS patching? I have a CentOS 5 and 6 server with the TEM client successfully reporting to my TEM server.

Thank you so much.

Darin

Hi Darin,

You can evaluate on a few kinds of operating systems that are available with evaluation masthead on the link.

BigFix Unix, Linux, and Mac Clients

Thanks.

Hi and thanks for the link.

It appears that the info on this page mostly documents the agent download and installation instructions. I have two running CentOS servers reporting to my TEM server. However, I don’t have any sites that correspond to CentOS patching. As stated above, I have registered the CentOS plug-in and migrated it to version 2.2.0. I don’t see any options for enabling patching for CentOS in the TEM server.

Thanks again.

Hi all.

As it turns out, the 30 day, 30 device default evaluation license is quite limited. CentOS patching is not included.

Thank you.
