Switch BES Client Action Site Masthead not picking up Client on BES Root Server

Hi

We have managed to migrate all but one client from one Bigfix Server instance to another.

We used the Task “Switch BES Client Action Site Masthead”, by copying the masthead from the new instance into C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\wwwrootbes\Uploads

This migrated all but one of the clients, the client that resides on the same machine as the BigFix server and Console

We have also tried changing the masthead in C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Installers\Client and running the installer again

Any suggestions on this issue?

This is the source BES Server/Console/Client right?
If so, that will be a special case. Because the client is reporting to itself (as all Relays do), and this is a BES Root Server, it can only report to the old deployment.

Presuming you are migrating and removing the old deployment, I think you will need to uninstall the BES Root Service application and then manually switch the client. Be sure to save off anything you need to preserve from the old deployment first.
