Is there a way to apply a patch only if internet explorer is not open, and preventing it from being launched until the patch is installed ?

Welcome whanscom,

Here are 2 approaches to your question.

The first is to set your action constraints to “Run only when no user is present”. This requires no changes to the relevance of your task or fixlet.

The second approach would be to add this to your relevance: AND not exists running application “iexplore.exe”
