The patch team would have to reply but you might want to specify which platform as we support 3 on Ubuntu and the answer might be different.
By platform, do you mean processor/architecture?
Yes, correct. There are 3 supported architectures right now i386, amd64 (aka x86_64) and ppc64el
Patch content for Ubuntu 1604 will be released by the end of this quarter - Dec 2016.

In my opinion, the highest priority is amd64 (x86_64), as that will most likely have the largest footprint.
