I have a couple of Solaris 10 in my environment which i need to patch using the Solaris cluster patch. The size of the cluster patch is around 1GB. Between the action of checking the size and hash to unzipping the file, it took almost an hr. Strange thing is if we send a refresh down, it would almost immediately finish the hashing and move on to unzipping. If we don’t refresh, unzip would always take place after an hr.
Did anyone experience this?
