Software Deployment File Maintenance

(imported topic written by StacyLee)

What would be a good way to clean up files on the server uploaded from the Software Deployment Wizard?

We have COs testing and using software deployment wizards which uploads files to the main BES Server. Some are still in use but many are used onced for testing or one time deployment and never used again. If the CO deletes the task the files on the server are never deleted. We have 120 folders dating back to January 2005 and I know some of them are not used.

Is there a way for Master CO to determine if the original fixlet/task still exists and if not delete the files on the server? What happens if I delete the files off the server and the task/fixlet still exists?

Did you ever get an answer on this?

We are running into the exact same thing, and surprisingly yours is the only post mentioning it that I have found at least.

I’m looking also for a way where it deletes the folder at the same time as the Task. Like a “Delete Software Package Also?” Type option.
