Slowness in patching

Hello,

I have started facing this issue, When I apply a single baseline, the components go in waiting state for a long time. Patches are applied, but a single baseline takes around 3-4 hours to complete.

We are using RHSM plugins which is installed on BigFix server.

Is there any way by which we could speed up the process??

Yes, look for the “Multipkg baseline” tasks in the linux patch site. The description should be helpful. You’ll need the “Enable multi-pkg instapo” task at the start of your baseline, and the “run multipkg install” at the emd.

Thank you for the reply. I will add this task in the existing baseline and try to deploy to see any change.

So there are 2 tasks - one to run at the beginning, another at the end. Be sure to read the descriptions on both.
