The IBM BigFix Compliance development team invites you to take part in the beta program for the IBM BigFix Compliance Payment Card Industry (PCI) Add-on.

This beta program is a way for you to follow along as new PCI DSS checklists for the Security BigFix Compliance product are developed. You will be able to validate new product enhancements that could be of value to you and influence the development team to improve the PCI DSS checks and checklists to meet your needs.

We can schedule live demonstrations of the new functionalities that are currently being developed where you can provide immediate feedback.

Your feedback can influence the ongoing development of this product. Your participation will be crucial to how we can improve our content and will be very much appreciated.

What’s the latest on the IBM BigFix Compliance PCI Add-on Beta Program (as of 2016-07-22)

The IBM BigFix Compliance PCI Add-on Beta Program aims to provide registered beta customers with the latest content that is available in the IBM BigFix Compliance product.

The following beta sites for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) have been updated to ensure that the new PCI DSS checklist and enhancements on existing checklists bring value to our beta customers.

  • PCI DSS Checklist for RHEL 5 Beta, site version 8
  • PCI DSS Checklist for RHEL 6 Beta, site version 5
  • PCI DSS Checklist for RHEL 7 Beta, site version 5
  • PCI DSS Checklist for AIX 7 Beta, site version 2
  • PCI DSS Checklist for Windows 2008 Beta, site version 21
  • PCI DSS Checklist for Windows 2012 Beta, site version 10
  • PCI DSS Checklist for Windows 7 Beta, site version 33

With the continuous feedback, our beta customers are able to influence the development team to improve the PCI DSS checks and checklists to meet their needs.

Here are some highlights from this beta update:

  • Support for PCI DSS Requirements and Security Assessment Procedures v3.2. Existing checks are updated to adopt to the new standard and new checks are added to conform to the new requirements.
  • New checklist for AIX that includes coverage for AIX 7.1.
  • Automatic remediation function in all RHEL checklists.
  • Improved performance for selected checks in the Windows checklists.
  • “Verify that Administrator account is renamed on the system” (pcidss-2.1.b_1)
  • “Verify that Guest account is renamed on the system” (pcidss-2.1.b_2)
  • “Verify that Administrator account on the system is set to Disabled” (pcidss-2.1.b_3)
  • “Verify that Guest account on the system is set to Disabled” (pcidss-2.1.b_4)
  • Enhanced reporting presentation and readability of Measured values and Desired values in various checklists.
  • Titles and descriptions of the checks are updated with the standardized format and extensions.
