Sha1 mismatch in bigfix console error

Also we are using Proxy server.

If you manually download the file and check it’s SHA1 hash, does it still not match?

You can use the Fixlet Debugger to check the file properties …

(SHA1 of it, SHA2_256 of it, size of it) of file “SomeFile” of folder “C:\SomeFolder”

I had similar issues years ago with some of the Microsoft SQL patches. They would make minor tweaks to the patch, but not tell anyone, then the downloads would fail, and BigFix (at the time) had to update their Fixlet/Task content to match the new values.

Something to consider while checking on the SHA1 value as mentioned by @TimRice:

Did the Solaris patch recently become Superseded?

If so, the readme file within the Solaris Patch was changed to show that it has been superseded, which changes the contents of the patch, and thus the SHA1 value. You may need to Synchronize Source, especially if this is contained within a baseline. You would need to edit baseline and then look at components and you should see a red link to Sync Source

Hope this helps!

HI,

Thanks to reply, but my server error getting only while I am upload the file using IEM Wizard option, for example if I am creating the package using software distribution wizard, (or) windows registry wizard, (upload the file), so after creating this type of task IF am deployed i get an above mention error.

Thanks.
nagaraj.

Strange.
Are you running any kind of Anti-Virus software on your server?
The Wizard calculates the SHA1 as part of the upload process, but AV software could be tampering with the file as it is written onto the server drive.

@Nagaraj

Is this a Solaris Patch or a Windows Patch?

The reason I ask is that, in your first post, the error you received included:

URL: SolarisProtocol://getupdates.oracle.com/all_unsigned/148336-02.zip

You later mentioned the Software Distribution Wizard and the Windows Registry Wizard. Just making sure…
