Setup BigFix 10 to patch RHEL servers

I’m looking for documentation for setting up BigFix 10 on a Windows Server to patch RHEL Servers in my environment. I’m aware there are a series of sets required from connecting to your RedHat subscription to configuring the console to receive patches from repo’s to deploying to servers. Thank you for your assistance

The main documentation for RHEL patching is at https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/patch/Patch/Patch_RH/c_introduction.html

I’d add that most customers won’t need the “Manage custom repositories” or “RHSM Download Cacher” (unless you run an Airgapped server), and the part that causes the most issues is getting your RHSM subscription certificate configured in the “RHSM Download Plugin”.

Edit: details on configuring the RHSM certificate at https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/patch/Patch/Patch_RH/t_creating_rhsm_certificate_entitlement.html

Than you for the response. In your opinion, what are the obstacles in patching RHEL with BigFix vs Satellite. I know the advantages are BigFix has readily available descriptions of the patches and delivers the patches instantly vs the Satellite process.

If you’re using channels like e4s this will be tricky. As we’ve seen, some fixes have different names.
On advantage of BigFix could be the pretty easy to use webui to install patches etc.
