Can anyone explain me the diffrence between failed target (Include in future step and Exclude from future step) in Server automation plan.
I think it’s as follows:
If a target computer fails on this step should subsequent steps in the plan be applied to it (include in future steps) or not (exclude from future steps).
That’s exactly right - basically if a target fails for a particular step, and that target is also used in subsequent steps, this setting controls whether or not the endpoint is targeted by those subsequent steps.
-
Include in future => even though the target failed an earlier step, we should still run the subsequent steps against it
-
Exclude from future => because the endpoint failed earlier in the plan, it does not make sense to run the subsequent steps against it
