Send Messages to Client from Bigfix Console Policy

The WebUI allows for ability to send “Messages” to the clients

  • the action in the console appears to be a no-op with Messages tab set
    No Title defined, and a Description is defined.

If i try to copy the action in the console and re-apply it reports the need for a “title” to the message.

I would like to setup policies to notify people near real time of unapproved system modifications, but not appear as an actual action to the users.

@mesee2, given your described use case it would be advisable/best practice to implement custom content policy with relevance to identify a specific condition and then (a) repair/replace the miss-configuration and/or (b) implement the BESClientUI to display messages to the end user.

Do you have a relatively straight forward use case that you can share here? If so, we can work through the example on this forum post.
