Security of default communication between BES Components

Hello

I know there are options to make communication between BigFix components more secure by using enhanced security, relay authentication, message level encrytion …

so when we use the platform with default settings, are there any basic encryption methods for communication between Server and Relay and Client ? or is the traffic between these components completely clear text ?

With v9+, most communications are occurring via HTTPS by default, and so are not in clear text in transit.
