Scheduled reports and the BESMailer.exe command line arguments?

(imported topic written by taadams91)

I am looking for command line usage for the BESMailer.exe application.

I am looking for this in the hopes of being able to specify a specific report and a specific filter. The web reporting page only allows you to specify a report as it is currently filtered. I have situations where I have dozens of reports that I would like to email out to end users. The reports are exactly alike with the only difference being the filter that I want applied. Without this the number of reports that I need becomes huge. We are trying to limit the number of people who have access to web reporting and console. I have access to all systems.

Hi taadams,

Unfortunately, filtering is not an argument to the BESEmailer.exe application. It only emails reports that have been saved. So you are correct that you need to save the report with the filter included.

Hopefully this won’t require much more time because you fundamentally do need to connect the filters to the report at some level and connecting the two before you save it seems roughly the same amount of work as if you were able to specify command line tasks to do it… but I understand your point about the annoyance in the creation process.
