SAML asking frequent Reauthentication in BigFix Console v11

Hello team,

Recently, we upgraded our BigFix Console Application in the DEV environment from v10 to v11 and it got successfully upgraded. But, we’re facing frequent reauthentication popups of SAML while using the app.(in every 5 mins) We need this time to get increased to 2 hours as it’s not feasible to perform the BAU tasks.

Note: We’ve already checked with our local account and there it is not asking for reauthentication.

It sounds weird… Is it possible your IdP is releasing a short living token?
How about WebUI or Web Reports? Do they popup for re-authentication every 5 minutes?

Hi - Web reports are not set in our environment…

How about WebUI? Is the authentication triggered every 5 minutes?
The Console uses InternetExplorer libraries to show web pages: make sure your settings are not preventing cookie storage or other security settings that might trigger the behavior.

Hi @adityaporwal, you’ll need to configure the following client setting on your BigFix root server to 120 minutes or 2 hours as you stated in your original post:
_BESDataServer_AuthenticationTimeoutMinutes=120
