I was having trouble getting on the internet (sometimes my system would reboot, sometimes I would get the error reporting message (Tell Microsoft?) so I attempted to run BigFix.
When I try and run BigFix I got:
"Runtime Error!
"Program: C:\Program Files\BigFix\bigfix.exe
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more information."
Although I had Windows automatic updates on, I updated manually with some software/hardware components to see if that would help.
Although my problem with the system crashing or giving me errors is intermitent, I cannot run BigFix at all and I always get the same error.
Windows Firewall is on and I am behind a router with a couple of hard firewalls. AVG Antivirus scans my computer and email regularly and has not reported any errors or infected files. This has now been going on for weeks.
I got BigFix with my eMachine, but don’t see where you have a support area, support email, or something where this problem is addressed in the Knowledge Base.
I have used BigFix to fix a problem before, thought it might work on this, but it doesn’t work. I don’t even know if I can upgrade or what, but BigFix, which came bundled with my eMachines T3395 will not work at all. I thought I’d keep it if I could get an upgrade or a patch, but that information is sketchy and I don’t really see any support. Should I just uninstall it?
