Can someone help explain if it is possible to deploy RHEL7 patch fixlets from the “Patches for RHEL 7” site but the fixlet actually installs rpms from a custom local repo and not download the payload through the Downoad Plugin?
Using yum and local repos worked for content in the “Oracle Linux 7” site but the same doesn’t seem to work for RHEL7 patch site content.
There is client setting to enable custom repository support on the client. You can use fixlet ID 13 Enable custom repository support - Red Hat Enterprise Linux from Patching Support site to set this up. Then the client will use custom local repository to install packages from fixlets.
